Technician/ Accountant - Longford

My client is a small accountancy practice based in Longford.  They are seeking to grow the team and take on additional resources to facilitate continued business growth. 

What my client is looking for is someone who has experience working ideally in a small/medium practice, where you effectively will roll your selves up and get stuck into full accounts prep, from dealing farmers, sole traders to small businesses, you will have plenty of opportunities for growth and progression.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and attending to client needs.
• Preparing Tax, VAT and other tax returns.
• Preparing Accounts (management/year end).
• Reconciling statements: Bank/Creditors/Debtors.
• Journal entries.
• Tax/Accounting Queries.
• other adhoc duties as required.

You will have the following skills/ experiences:

1. Have experience work in a small/ medium practice in Ireland of at least 12 months in an accounts/tax role.
2. Qualified Technician/ Part/Qualified Accountant or Bookkeeper - desirable.
3. Good understanding of accountancy standards. 
4. Ability to prepare accounts up to the TB stage or sign-off.
5. Ability to pick up a bag of receipts, sort, post, file and prepare accounts.
6. VAT, Tax experience.
7. Can do attitude.
8. Excellent written and oral English skills. 
9. Ability to speak to people at all levels within a business
