Tax Manager - Industry - West Dublin

My client is an Engineering company operating in Ireland and across Europe.  They are seeking a Tax Manager to join the growing Team.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, strategic, and highly motivated Tax Manager to take ownership of the Irish and European tax function based. You will report to the Finance Director and is critical to ensuring the Company is compliant with tax legislation.

This is an office based role and hybrid is not supported within the Finance function.  Office is based in South Dublin and on site parking is available).

Responsibilities

• Oversee corporate income tax return compliance.
• Ensure that all tax returns are completed and filed in a timely manner.
• Assisting Senior Management with various issues related to global mobility.
• Assisting Senior Management with internal and external tax inquiries/tax audits as they arise.
• Assisting with the preparation of local and master transfer pricing files.
• Keep up to date with changes in local tax legislation.
• Ad-hoc research in relation to tax issues arising.

  Requirements  

• Professional tax qualification (AIT or CTA or equivalent).
• Qualified Accountant - desirable.
• At least 3 years practice experience/ industry experience in Ireland.
• Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit process, and tax law.
• Excellent drafting papers, communication, and organisational skills.
• Motivated and a friendly manner to enable effective and positive engagement with colleagues, external advisors and key stakeholders.
• Assertive and able to work on own initiative.
• A Multitasker who can prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
• A high achiever, so is unafraid of a challenge.
