Site Engineer (Electrical)

ProSource Group are seeking a Site Engineer with an electrical background on behalf of a leading food production company based in North Dublin. This company specialises in the preparation and supply of fresh produce and ready-to-cook meals to major retailers, known for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation in food manufacturing.

Salary:

€50,000 - €55,000 (DOE) + package on offer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment including PA systems, depositors, slicers, sealers, and metal detectors.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
• Train and support operators and superusers on equipment operation and cleaning procedures.
• Report equipment issues promptly to Production Managers.
• Participate in Lean projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet production and audit standards.
• Ensure all High Care equipment is audit-ready with proper documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and inventory control of tools and toolboxes.
• Attend weekly meetings with Production Managers to address operational concerns.
• Support with additional ad hoc duties as assigned to ensure seamless production.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or production setting.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Lean practices and continuous improvement (preferred).
• Knowledge of High Care standards and food industry equipment is a plus.
