Our client, a well-established construction contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a residential project in Monaghan Town. Reporting to the Site Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the project while gaining valuable professional experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and communicate construction drawings on-site, ensuring accurate layouts and material measurements.
  • Perform precise setting out, providing accurate lines, levels, and reference points to ensure smooth construction progress.
  • Monitor on-site activities to ensure the project progresses according to programme deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards throughout the project.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve on-site efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Provide support to the Site Manager and undertake any other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction Engineering and Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ post-graduate experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in residential construction.
  • Proficiency in survey equipment, such as Levels and Total Stations, and experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Full, valid driving licence and relevant site cards.
