SHEQ advisor position available with large multi-discipline contractor in Cork. This role is with a Tier 1 contractor with a significant amount of upcoming work in the area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across our various projects.
  
Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Provide health and safety training and inductions for all site personnel.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Liaise with site management, contractors, and regulatory bodies on health and safety matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement on site.
  
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction sector.
  • Relevant health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety software.
  
Package
  • Competitive salary of €45,000 - €55,000 per annum.
  • Fully expensed company vehicle.
