Senior Site Engineer

ProSource are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer on behalf of their client who are a Main Building Contractor on a residential development project in Athlone.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing all engineering activities on-site. You will work closely with the Project Manager and other site personnel to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Oversee and manage all engineering aspects of the site, including setting out, levelling, and surveying the site.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, architects, and consultants to coordinate and implement project activities.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth progress of the project.
• Manage and coordinate the timely procurement of materials and equipment.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures on-site, ensuring that the project meets the required standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with building regulations and specifications.
• Ensure that all site activities comply with current HSE legislation and company policies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, including daily site diaries, progress reports, and quality control documentation.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience 
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials, particularly in residential developments.
• Proficiency in setting out, levelling, and surveying, with experience using relevant instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, etc.).
