Senior Quantity Surveyor

Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious development project in South Dublin. This major mixed-use development includes approximately 550 residential apartments, retail units, and a large three-level basement. Located adjacent to Beacon South Quarter and with the Luas at its doorstep, the site offers stunning views of South Dublin and easy access to the city center.
  
Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed package and material budgets.
• Compiling comprehensive tender packs and awarding subcontracts.
• Conducting value engineering and options analysis to ensure cost efficiency.
• Managing package cashflow, retention, interim invoices, and final accounts.
• Undertaking re-measures and agreeing on final accounts upon package completion.
• Preparing and managing subcontractor, supplier, and material procurement schedules.
• Creating and maintaining a procurement schedule for the project.
• Conducting periodic reviews to identify and implement cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or developer in the Irish market.
• Proven experience in high-density apartment projects and low-density housing.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and cost management practices.
• Proficiency in managing budgets, tendering packages, and post-contract cost management.
• Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Minimum English proficiency level B2.

• €85,000 - €95,000 DOE.
