Overview:
Our client, a leading contractor in the civil engineering and utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support project planning and scheduling across major projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and managing project schedules, coordinating with teams, and ensuring project milestones are met efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and update comprehensive project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish key project milestones.
• Analyse project performance, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Prepare regular progress reports, providing insights into schedule adherence, resource allocation, and potential bottlenecks.
• Use planning software to maintain and update schedules, integrating changes as project requirements evolve.
• Support the project team with delay analysis and forecasting to improve overall project delivery.
• Promote best practices in planning and scheduling to enhance project efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning role, preferably within civil engineering or utilities sectors.
• Strong proficiency in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Proven experience in managing complex project schedules and mitigating delays.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
