Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a leading consultancy. This role will be based in Cork City.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an established and progressive engineering consultancy in Cork City. This role offers a unique chance to develop technical skills, receive mentorship from a Chartered Engineer, and progress towards management-level opportunities.
As part of a growing team, you will play a strategic role in delivering projects across multiple sectors, including Industrial, Retail, Hospitality, Commercial, Residential, Medical, and Educational. Projects range from small-scale developments to multi-million-euro ventures, ensuring a diverse and engaging workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to assess and oversee project development.
• Manage budgets, pricing, and tenders for mechanical engineering projects.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to provide technical solutions.
• Prepare technical calculations and presentations.
• Address and resolve technical inquiries from clients and project teams.

About You

• Education: Level 7+ degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Skills:
  
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge.
  • Excellent client communication and project management skills.
• Other:
  
  • Full Irish Driving License (essential).
  • Chartered or near-chartered status (preferred but not essential).
