My client is a well established City Centre Practice and they are seeking an experienced Senior/Manager to join the team. 

This practice has a long standing team in place, and due to retirement they are seeking to add a new face to the team. 

Your new role will require you to be office based, collaborating with clients and colleagues across Audit/Accounts and Tax requirements. 

Your key requirements will be:

  1. Client Portfolio Management:
    • Oversee and manage a portfolio of clients, including audits, tax planning, and advisory services.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Provide strategic financial advice to clients, helping them make informed business decisions.
  2. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants, ensuring high performance and professional development.
    • Provide training and ongoing support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and support career growth within the team.
  3. Technical Expertise and Compliance:
    • Stay current on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes.
    • Ensure all client work complies with relevant laws, standards, and best practices.
    • Review and approve financial statements, reports, and tax returns prepared by team members.
  4. Business Development and Networking:
    • Identify new business opportunities within the existing client base and expand client relationships.
    • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, including attending industry events and networking.
    • Contribute to the firm's reputation by consistently delivering high-quality services and demonstrating expertise.
  5. Operational and Financial Management:
    • Work with the Partners to set and achieve annual financial targets and budgets for the practice.
    • Monitor and manage the profitability of client engagements, ensuring projects are on time and within budget.
    • Streamline processes and enhance efficiency to improve client service delivery and internal operations.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Certifications: CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience: 6+ years in accounting, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial role within an accountancy practice.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading teams, managing client relationships, and developing junior staff.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-oriented mindset.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
