A well-established, award-winning national practice is currently seeking experienced Senior and Project Landscape Architects to join their friendly team in Cork. The practice provides a comprehensive range of Landscape Architectural, Environmental, Town Planning, and Arboriculture services, along with project delivery in the UK through associated offices in London and Manchester. With a diverse portfolio that includes public parks, open space design, master planning, public realm projects, commercial and residential developments, and landscape planning/impact assessment, the practice offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth.
Senior Landscape Architect This role presents significant potential for career development, leading on a variety of landscape projects for private and public sector clients.
Candidates should possess:
- A Degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture
- MILI or equivalent professional membership
- A full driving licence
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Approximately 10 years of experience with a focus on delivering projects from detailed design through to site completion
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as Project Manager, with duties covering contractual, financial, and programme management throughout design, detailing, and construction stages
- Establishing strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Managing and developing junior staff
- Producing clear and concise technical reports
- Leading client communications and responding to client requirements
- Preparing detailed design drawings and technical documentation
- Compiling tender submissions and securing new work
- Providing technical guidance to develop junior team members
- Collaborating effectively within a multi-disciplinary design team
Experienced Project Landscape Architect This role is one of several positions responsible for progressing the design, delivery, and management of landscape projects.
Candidates should possess:
- A Degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture
- MILI or equivalent professional membership
- A full driving licence
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Approximately 5 years of experience with a focus on delivering projects through detailed design to site
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing landscape design projects from concept through to detailed hard and soft design
- Site supervision and monitoring
- Working on urban design projects and master planning initiatives
- Participating in multi-disciplinary studies and planning-led projects
- Contributing to technical (IT) and graphic project work
- Supporting landscape character studies and planning assessments
- Representing the practice at meetings, conferences, and marketing events
Desirable Skills and Experience for Both Roles - Urban design qualifications or experience
- Horticultural knowledge or experience
- GIS proficiency
- LVIA expertise
- REVIT skills
- Strong site work experience, including contractor engagement and site monitoring
