Senior Engineer

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team in South Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead on-site activities and manage the engineering function for key projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineering activities across multiple civil engineering projects.
• Ensure project designs and specifications are followed accurately and in line with industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring that all work is progressing as per project plans.
• Oversee the quality control process, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout project execution.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and resources are managed efficiently.
• Identify and resolve engineering problems, providing solutions in a timely manner.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met and project goals are achieved.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Engineer role, ideally within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design, and construction processes.
• Proven experience in managing technical aspects of large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate effectively.
• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full driving license and flexibility to travel to project sites in South Dublin.
