Senior Civil Engineer

ProSource are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for an on-site role on behalf of their client, who are a global industry-leading Civil and Structural consultancy, based in Galway.

*€60,000 - €70,000*

Requirements

• Third level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 6-10 years postgraduate experience in an Irish engineering consultancy.
• Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland or close to applying for chartership.
• A sound understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focus, ability to apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve technical problems.
• Fluent English essential
• Experienced in preparing planning permissions in Ireland using both conventional and SHD planning procedures.
• Skilled in leading projects from pre-planning and feasibility stages through to successful completion.
• Proficient in using Windes, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead design engineer on projects suited to your level of experience.
• Prepare civil engineering designs for various projects.
• Oversee the creation of drawings and reports.
• Guide and support technicians and junior engineering staff.
• Attend meetings with design teams, contractors, and clients.
• Collaborate with architects and other disciplines within the design team.
• Lead the project team to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
• Conduct site inspections as required.
