Senior Chartered Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Chartered Engineer to take a leadership role in the design, management, and delivery of public works and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience dealing with local authorities and will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects in compliance with public works requirements.
• Engage with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to obtain approvals and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership on complex engineering challenges, ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
• Oversee design teams and site engineers, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and risk evaluations, ensuring the integrity of engineering solutions.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.
• Prepare and review technical reports, tender submissions, and regulatory documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development within the company.

Requirements:

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a recognised institution.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in civil engineering, with a strong track record in public works and local authority projects.
• Expertise in infrastructure development, drainage, roadworks, and utilities.
• Strong knowledge of Irish public works contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools.
• Full, clean driving licence.
