Resident Engineer

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Resident Engineer for a project located in West Cork.

The successful applicant shall ensure works are constructed in accordance with the Employer’s Representative’s requirements and that the Contractor carries out all obligations.

*€65,000 - €75,000*

Role:

• Oversee and manage all civil-related construction activities on-site, including administration tasks.
• Supervise civil work requirements and follow instructions from the Employer’s Representative (ER), Design Team, Local Authorities, etc.
• Monitor, assess, inspect, and report on ongoing work to ensure alignment with the Employer’s Requirements.
• Support the Employer’s Representative with technical and contractual matters.
• Collaborate with other on-site Resident Staff to prepare regular progress reports, focusing on quality and scheduling.
• Ensure that the Contractor’s work complies with Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and related laws.
• Review Method Statements and the Contractor’s engineering proposals to ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Maintain detailed records and diaries of work progress and provide regular reports on the same.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience with 4 years on-site
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
• Possess knowledge and experience with current contract forms and EN Standards.
• Be proactive, a strong communicator, and able to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Exhibit excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Positive, 'can-do' attitude.
