My client is a well-established accountancy practice in Navan seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented
Receptionist/Bookkeeper to join our team.
This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a professional office environment, handling administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and manage office calendars.
- Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post.
- Order office supplies and ensure the reception area is presentable.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
- Prepare VAT returns and liaise with Revenue as needed.
- Assist in payroll processing and record-keeping.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support accountants in preparing accounts.
- Use accounting software such as Sage, Relate, Surf, QuickBooks, or Xero.
Your Skills & Experiences: - Previous experience in a similar receptionist and/or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly personality ideally with some charisma.
- Experience in an accountancy practice is an advantage but not essential.
