My client is a well-established accountancy practice in Navan seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Receptionist/Bookkeeper to join our team.

This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a professional office environment, handling administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records.


Key Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Schedule appointments and manage office calendars.
  • Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post.
  • Order office supplies and ensure the reception area is presentable.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Prepare VAT returns and liaise with Revenue as needed.
  • Assist in payroll processing and record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support accountants in preparing accounts.
  • Use accounting software such as Sage, Relate, Surf, QuickBooks, or Xero.
Your Skills & Experiences:
  • Previous experience in a similar receptionist and/or bookkeeping role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly personality ideally with some charisma.
  • Experience in an accountancy practice is an advantage but not essential.
