ProSource’s client is a well-established Main Building Contractor based in Offaly, delivering high-quality projects across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. With a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Residential experience is preferred but not mandatory, making this a great opportunity for professionals looking to expand their expertise in a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities: - Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for projects.
- Managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring budgetary control and cost efficiency.
- Procuring subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing payments.
- Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with financial forecasts.
- Collaborating with project teams to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
- Managing risk assessments and identifying financial implications of design and contract changes.
- Producing detailed financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth financial management of projects.
Requirements: - A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in a quantity surveying role with a Main Contractor.
- Residential experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, procurement, and cost management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and contract administration.
Package: - €65,000 - €80,000 DOE
