Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant - with 1 year+ Irish experience

My client is an accountancy practiced based in Kildare they are seeking qualified or part qualified accountant to join the team. 

This practice is undergoing significant growth and in order to meet the needs of the business they are seeking to take on an experienced hire - ideally you will have at least 2 years experience working in an Irish accountancy practice.  Hybrid working is supported.

The responsibilities of your role will be:

• Preparation of working papers and financial Statements in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.
• Conduct client audits and prepare tax returns (corporate and personal).
• Attend to client queries and request ensure practical solutions/proposals.
• Ensure completion of assignments within appropriate budget and timeframe.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Prepare technical briefs and checklists for staff and clients.
• Mentoring/ training of juniors.
• Other adhoc duties as required.

You will have the following skills/ experience:

1. At least 2 years experience working in an Irish accountancy practice. 
2. Accounting Qualification - ACCA, ACA, or part qualified and pursuing exams.
3. Audit experience.
4. Proficient in the preparation of financial statements.
5. Strong understanding of Irish accounting standards.
6. Excellent client management skills. 
7. High level of attention to detail. 
8. Experienced in Corporation Tax/ Income Tax, VAT, VIES returns and associated paper work. 
9. A team player.
10. Organised with a methodical approach to work.
