My client is seeking a dynamic and motivated Newly Qualified Accountant to join a growing team in Kilkenny. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or newly qualified professional to advance their career in a supportive environment. You will work with a diverse client base across various industries, providing high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statements: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, including income tax, corporation tax, and VAT.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored financial advice.
- Audit Support: Participate in audit processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and assisting in the preparation of audit reports.
- Management Accounts: Prepare management accounts and financial reports to support clients in their decision-making processes.
- Advisory Services: Provide clients with business advisory services, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients on best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and other team members, contributing to the overall success of the firm.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and tools (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) for efficient financial management and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified, or equivalent.
- Experience:3 years plus of relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with attention to detail.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
