My client are a collaborative and leading Accountancy Practice based in Kildare. They are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Accountant to the team. This is a pivotal role for a qualified accountant with broad experience in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client advisory, who is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a diverse client portfolio and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice, with a clear long-term opportunity to progress to partnership.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage a portfolio of SME and corporate clients across various industries.
- Review and prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Oversee corporation tax, VAT, and income tax compliance and planning for clients.
- Provide strategic and commercial advice to clients, including business structuring and succession planning.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Support partners in business development and client relationship management.
- Contribute to the long-term vision and leadership of the firm, with a view to becoming a partner.
Key Requirements: - Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) with a minimum of 5–7 years’ practice experience.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting and Irish tax legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow client relationships.
- Experience in managing or supervising staff.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Commercial mindset with a genuine ambition to take on a leadership role within a progressive firm.
