Client Overview: Our client, a highly respected construction consultancy with a strong track record of successful projects in New York City, is seeking an experienced
Project Manager to oversee a luxury hotel construction project in the heart of NYC. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and dedicated professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to a high-profile project while advancing their career within a rapidly growing company.
Key Responsibilities: - Project Management: Lead and manage the construction of a luxury hotel from inception to completion, ensuring all project goals are met in terms of budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination across all phases of the project.
- Budget & Schedule Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure all work is completed within the agreed timeline. Implement strategies to mitigate risks and address any potential delays or cost overruns.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact between clients, contractors, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requests to ensure client satisfaction.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to local regulations, building codes, and safety standards. Conduct site inspections and resolve any quality control issues as they arise.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, including project progress, cost estimates, change orders, and monthly valuations. Maintain accurate and organized project documentation for all aspects of the construction process.
Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on hotel or commercial projects. Experience in NYC construction projects is highly desirable.
- Background: Experience in Renovations and Fitout with exposure to design to handover.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, scheduling, cost control, and local NYC building codes and regulations.
