Principal Electrical Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a leading consultancy. The consultancy is one of Ireland’s largest Mechanical and Electrical engineering companies that also dos extensive work in the UK market.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead Design and specification of Electrical Engineering Solutions for Buildings to current regulations and design standards.
• Working directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Lead Pre-Construction activities including, design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, sub-contracts, etc.
• Manage and mentor junior team members.
• Provide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams.
• Provide off site technical support to construction teams.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a design consultancy environment.
• Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for electrical design and analysis i.e. DIAlux & Amtech.
• Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and handle evolving project requirements.
