Role Overview:
We are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join our growing team in Westmeath. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert financial and tax advice, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is looking to further their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Irish accounting standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and payroll taxes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Provide expert financial advice and tax planning services to clients across various sectors.
  • Conduct audits and ensure all statutory requirements are met, working closely with clients to address any issues or concerns.
  • Prepare management accounts, budgets, and financial forecasts to assist clients in their decision-making processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
  • Support business development activities by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients and attract new clients.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, advising clients on how these changes may impact their business.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members, contributing to their training and development.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and provide strategic financial advice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
