Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support mechanical engineering projects by ensuring all welded systems and structures comply with specifications and industry standards.
  2. Collaborate with senior welding engineers to gain practical experience in welding techniques, quality control, and process improvement.
  3. Coordinate welding activities across various projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  4. Assist in the development of Preliminary Welding Procedure Specifications (pWPSs) and contribute to creating Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQRs).
  5. Participate in the qualification of welders, including the preparation of documentation and overseeing qualification tests.
  6. Oversee welding tasks on-site to ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  7. Provide support during tender evaluations by reviewing welding aspects and preparing technical proposals.
  8. Assist with the inspection and testing of welded components, identifying any defects and ensuring compliance with quality control measures.
  9. Work closely with project engineers and welding specialists to select appropriate materials and welding processes based on project requirements.
  10. Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, inspection reports, and certification documents.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, with interest or experience in welding processes.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles.
  • Willingness to develop expertise in welding engineering.
  • Experience with WPQR development and welder qualification is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Valid European driving license.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when necessary.
