M&E Quantity Surveyor

ProSource are currently hiring a M&E Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a reputable M&E Contractor who would be based in Cork. This role would offer the successful candidate a great opportunity to progress their career while working in a rapidly expanding company with a collaborative culture.
  
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of cost management for assigned projects, including cost estimating, cost control, and budget preparation.
• Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and manage variations and claims effectively.
• Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost forecasts, valuations, and final accounts.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to safeguard project profitability and ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field. Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
• Proficient in cost estimating, contract administration, and financial management software. Sound knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Committed to delivering high-quality work with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development.

Package:

• €55,000 - €65,000 DOE.
