Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor with a strong interest in civil engineering projects to join a reputable civils contractor based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career while working on a variety of exciting projects across the Dublin region.
  
Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, estimates, and cost plans for civils projects.
  • Supporting the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documentation and subcontractor packages.
  • Measuring and valuing works, including site visits to track progress and assess variations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Supporting senior team members in managing subcontractor accounts, payments, and final accounts.
  • Conducting re-measurements and helping to resolve commercial issues.
  • Building relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with company procedures.
Requirements
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a focus on civils projects (recent graduates with relevant internships or placement experience will also be considered).
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering works and cost management practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and relevant cost management software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites within the Dublin region.
Package
  • €37,000 - €45,000, depending on experience.
