Junior Quantity Surveyor

ProSource Group is urgently recruiting an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a highly reputable and expanding Main Building Contractor in Galway. About the Role:
Our client is seeking a driven and proactive Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Galway. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior QS and project management teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects, focusing on cost control, financial management, and value optimization.
  
Salary: €50,000 - €55,000 DOE
  
Key Duties:

• Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
• Procure and assess subcontractor packages and negotiate contracts.
• Perform cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments.
• Monitor and manage project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Prepare and present valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and key stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely cost advice and guidance to the project team.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably with a Main Contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in cost estimation and financial management tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
