ProSource Group are seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of one of Irelands leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainability Consultancies. This is a Dublin-based position.
The company in question work in all sectors, including commercial, financial, healthcare, retail & leisure, government, education, industrial and manufacturing. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term employment with one of Irelands leading Engineering Consultancies.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:
  
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop innovative and sustainable mechanical systems for construction projects.
  • Create detailed mechanical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local building codes and industry standards.
  • Focus on designing energy-efficient HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to minimise environmental impact and operational costs.
  • Apply your technical expertise to select and size mechanical equipment and components, ensuring they meet performance and budget requirements.
  • Assist in project management by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring designs meet client expectations.
  • Stay up to date with Irish building regulations and industry codes, and ensure designs are compliant with all relevant guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge mechanical engineering solutions, utilising emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert guidance on mechanical design aspects.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:
  
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineering or a related field.
  • Native written and spoken English proficiency is essential, and preferably with some Irish workplace experience already. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
