Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

ProSource are working on behalf of a highly regarded Developer based in Kildare who are on the lookout for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to assist in growing their commercial team to handle the steady growth they are undergoing.
  
Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for a variety of projects.
• Developing bills of quantities, tender documentation, and procurement strategies.
• Analysing tender submissions and making recommendations to clients.
• Monitoring project costs throughout the lifecycle, providing regular financial updates and forecasts.
• Managing variations, valuations, and final accounts.
• Conducting site visits to assess project progress and ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Providing expert advice to clients on cost management, procurement methods, and contract administration.
• Identifying potential cost risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring all work complies with Irish building regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in a quantity surveying role, ideally within a Residential sphere.
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction regulations, contracts, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A focus on collaboration and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
