Our client, a leading contractor specialising in power and utilities infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee High Voltage (HV) Overhead Line (OHL) projects across Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning, execution, and completion of HV OHL projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, to ensure effective delivery of project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project phases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular project updates.
  • Oversee procurement, ensuring materials and equipment are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager role, specifically within HV Overhead Line projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HV OHL systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex utility projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites across Ireland.
