H&S Inspector

Overview:
Our client, a leading health and safety consultancy, is seeking Health & Safety Inspectors to support utility projects across the Dublin East region. The successful candidates will work directly with Safety Solutions, conducting audits and inspections on utility sites to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This role involves travelling to multiple sites, providing expert guidance and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular audits and inspections on utility project sites to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure issues are addressed.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, highlighting key findings and providing practical recommendations for improvement.
• Liaise with site managers, contractors, and operatives to promote safe work practices and address safety concerns.
• Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring proper documentation and root cause analysis.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings as required.
• Ensure all health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements, is up to date and accurate.
• Provide ongoing advice and support to site teams on regulatory requirements and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within the utilities or construction sectors.
• Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence site teams.
• Proven ability to conduct audits and inspections, with a strong attention to detail.
• Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple sites effectively.
• Full, clean driving licence (company vehicle provided).

Package Includes:

• Competitive salary of €55,000 - €60,000 per annum.
• Fully expensed company vehicle for site travel.
