Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor to oversee safety practices on their project at Dublin Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment on this high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures across the project site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective measures are taken.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for site personnel and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventative actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Liaise with site management, contractors, and external stakeholders to address health and safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and airport-specific standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging continuous improvement and best practices on-site.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction standards.
  • Experience working on high-security or sensitive sites is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence site teams.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to work on-site at Dublin Airport.
