We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor with over 6 years of experience in the construction sector to join our client in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest safety standards are upheld across various construction projects. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a safe working environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor H&S policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with legal and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify potential hazards.
- Deliver health and safety inductions and ongoing training to site personnel, ensuring all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of all H&S activities, including inspections, audits, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and contractors to ensure all H&S standards are met during construction activities.
- Stay up to date with health and safety legislation and best practices, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices across the organization.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times.
Qualifications & Skills: - A relevant qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.
- Full driving license required.
Package Includes: - Competitive salary of €55,000 - €65,000 per annum.
