We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor with over 6 years of experience in the construction sector to join our client in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest safety standards are upheld across various construction projects. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a safe working environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement, and monitor H&S policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with legal and industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify potential hazards.
  3. Deliver health and safety inductions and ongoing training to site personnel, ensuring all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending corrective actions.
  5. Maintain detailed records of all H&S activities, including inspections, audits, and incident reports.
  6. Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and contractors to ensure all H&S standards are met during construction activities.
  7. Stay up to date with health and safety legislation and best practices, ensuring ongoing compliance.
  8. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices across the organization.
  9. Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A relevant qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.
  • Full driving license required.
Package Includes:
  • Competitive salary of €55,000 - €65,000 per annum.
