Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Heat Pump and Refrigeration Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced heat pump systems. You will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of these systems while contributing to a range of energy-saving and innovative projects. This role offers a flexible working model, balancing time between working from home, client sites, and company offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install, maintain, and repair water-to-water heat pump and refrigeration systems to ensure optimum performance.
  2. Perform regular system inspections and diagnostics, identifying issues and implementing corrective measures.
  3. Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure high efficiency and avoid unexpected system downtime.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions or system failures, applying technical expertise to deliver solutions.
  5. Monitor refrigerant levels and ensure compliance with environmental and industry standards.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on installation and project execution to meet deadlines and performance targets.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all services, repairs, and part replacements.
  8. Stay up to date with the latest technologies and advancements in heat pump and refrigeration systems.
  9. Follow stringent safety procedures and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  10. Assist with the inspection and maintenance of large-scale solar PV systems, where required.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Chiller/Refrigeration Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with water-to-water heat pumps or chillers.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and various refrigerants.
  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex refrigeration and heat pump systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices for refrigerants and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid refrigeration engineering license or certification.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient practices and sustainable energy solutions.
Package Includes:
  • Competitive salary of €60,000 - €75,000 per annum.
