Health and Safety Advisor

ProSource Group are seeking Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of a civils contractor, the projects are dispersed nationwide so flexibility is required. The Health and Safety Advisor will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs on a range of civils projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety procedures in line with industry standards and legislative requirements, specifically tailored for power and utilities projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols within the power and utilities sector.
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to address safety concerns and provide recommendations to mitigate risks in power and utilities operations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for preventive actions within the power and utilities context.
• Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation related to power and utilities, updating policies and procedures accordingly.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Health and Safety.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in a Health and Safety Advisor role.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Comfortable moving between sites nationwide.
