My client is a leading Engineering company with its head office in South Dublin.  They are seeking a Global Mobility Services Manager to join the team. 

This is a very attractive job opportunity for an experienced Global Mobility professional as it offers hybrid working. 

Your responsibilities will be to manage and support our Global Mobility programs and international assignments.

This role plays a vital part in facilitating seamless employee relocations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering exceptional support to internationally mobile employees.

With a strong focus on process improvement and data tracking, you’ll provide key insights to HR and business stakeholders while contributing to the strategic management of talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Global Mobility functions for all business units across multiple global locations.
  • Coordinate end-to-end Global Mobility assignments, including relocation, immigration, and compliance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain Global Mobility programs, policies, and processes that balance business needs with market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Act as a key advisor to HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on mobility requests, providing consultancy on assignment planning and policy interpretation.
  • Build and manage relationships with external consultants to ensure exceptional service delivery and adherence to KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws, tax regulations, and other legal requirements in partnership with external legal counsel and immigration specialists.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees during transfers, secondments, and other mobility-related activities, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Coordinate work permit and visa applications, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance checks.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records related to Global Mobility assignments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a seamless Global Mobility process and provide guidance on repatriation procedures.
  • Contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Global Mobility Specialist or in a similar role, managing international assignments and programs.
  • Strong understanding of relocation logistics, work permits, visas, and international assignment processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex challenges.
  • Ability to manage collaborative relationships with employees, managers, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Willingness to adopt a hands-on approach and work effectively across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field (preferred).
  • Travel may be required occasionally.
  • In-house experience managing Global Mobility programs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with best practices in Global Mobility, including immigration and tax compliance.
  • High cultural sensitivity and awareness to support globally mobile employees effectively.
  • Ability to address challenges with innovative and practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and a continuous learning mindset to adapt to evolving regulations and industry trends.
  • Commitment to process improvement and delivering a seamless employee experience.
