ProSource are "seeking to recruit a Financial Controller/Company Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of several family-owned businesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for individual businesses and the group as a whole.
  • Analyse financial performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal audit processes.
  • Coordinating and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to support business decisions and investments.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks across the businesses.
  • Work closely with business owners and key stakeholders to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to finance team members.

You will have the following skills/experiences:
  1. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  2. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to managing finances across multiple businesses.
  3. Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  6. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Experience working in family-owned or SME environments.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  9. Excellent Communication skills (Oral/Written).
