ProSource are "seeking to recruit a Financial Controller/Company Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of several family-owned businesses.
Responsibilities: - Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for individual businesses and the group as a whole.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal audit processes.
- Coordinating and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance to support business decisions and investments.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks across the businesses.
- Work closely with business owners and key stakeholders to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to finance team members.
You will have the following skills/experiences: - Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to managing finances across multiple businesses.
- Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in family-owned or SME environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent Communication skills (Oral/Written).
