My client is looking for a skilled and motivated Finance Manager with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding team.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic growth by delivering accurate financial insights.

Experience in managing a finance team is essential, as you’ll play a key role in developing and guiding the team to achieve our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Oversee the financial management of NI/UK Trading company, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and accurate financial reporting.
    • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support both operational and strategic objectives.
  • Management Accounts:
    • Prepare monthly management accounts, providing comprehensive insights and variance analysis to facilitate decision-making.
    • Produce and deliver detailed monthly and quarterly board packs for review by the Board, presenting financial results and strategic insights.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all VAT/CIS, statutory returns, and payment requirements, keeping up-to-date with any changes in relevant regulations.
    • Oversee the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Manage and mentor the finance team, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and identifying opportunities for professional growth.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, implementing efficient processes and controls.
  • Financial Analysis and Strategic Support:
    • Conduct regular financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional projects and initiatives that impact financial performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience within the property or construction sector is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing a finance team and leading team members toward achieving departmental objectives.
  • Strong understanding of NI/UK VAT and CIS regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and management reporting, with an ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with both financial and non-financial team members.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
