Estimator

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Estimator with 3+ years of experience to join a subcontractor in NYC. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile, large-scale commercial and industrial steel projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in steel estimating, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex projects from an estimating perspective.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Prepare and present detailed and accurate estimates for steel subcontracting projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to assess steel material requirements, labor costs, and overall project budgets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with steel suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to ensure alignment between estimated costs and project delivery timelines.
• Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and submission processes for new and ongoing projects.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in the industry, with a proven track record of large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of steel construction methods, materials, and cost estimation.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and steel shop drawings.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
