Estimator

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a top-tier steel subcontractor in NYC. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including large-scale commercial and industrial builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel estimating and a keen attention to detail.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Prepare accurate estimates for steel subcontracting projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to assess steel requirements and costs
• Develop and maintain relationships with steel suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure project budgets are met
• Assist with bid preparation, proposals, and submission processes

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• 1+ years of estimating experience, specifically within the steel construction industry
• Strong knowledge of steel construction methods, materials, and cost analysis
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and steel shop drawings
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
