Electrical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the MEP team of a leading Tier 1 Main Building Contractor in Dublin.

The company in question work in all sectors, including commercial, financial, healthcare, retail & leisure, government, education, industrial and manufacturing. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term employment with one of Irelands largest building contractors. 
  
€45,000 - €55,000 + generous package on offer.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop innovative and sustainable electrical systems for construction projects.
• Create detailed electrical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local building codes and industry standards.
• Apply your technical expertise to select and size electrical equipment and components, ensuring they meet performance and budget requirements.
• Assist in project management by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring designs meet client expectations.
• Stay up to date with Irish building regulations and industry codes, and ensure designs are compliant with all relevant guidelines.
• Contribute to the development of cutting-edge electrical engineering solutions, utilising emerging technologies and best practices.
• Review and approve electrical designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and safety.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert guidance on electrical design aspects.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role designing and specifying electrical/building services systems (Main contractor experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
