ProSource Group is currently seeking a Electrical Design Engineer with Data Centre experience on behalf of a prominent consultancy. This position will be based in the County Dublin region.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Design critical power distribution systems, PLC-based control panels, and energy monitoring systems.
- Develop comprehensive document packages and drawing sets for Senior Electrical and Automation Engineers to review.
- Prepare detailed electrical schematics and mechanical layout drawings for control panels.
- Ensure adherence to international design standards (e.g., IEC 61439, UL 508A) for all design projects.
- Create electrical plant layout drawings and single-line drawings for tendering purposes.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Automation teams to resolve technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Contribute to ongoing product improvement initiatives.
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria: - A degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in control panel and/or power distribution design.
- Demonstrated ability to work according to established standards.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks Electrical or similar electrical design software.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel if necessary.
