Electrical Design Engineer

ProSource Group is currently seeking a Electrical Design Engineer with Data Centre experience on behalf of a prominent consultancy. This position will be based in the County Dublin region.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Design critical power distribution systems, PLC-based control panels, and energy monitoring systems.
• Develop comprehensive document packages and drawing sets for Senior Electrical and Automation Engineers to review.
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics and mechanical layout drawings for control panels.
• Ensure adherence to international design standards (e.g., IEC 61439, UL 508A) for all design projects.
• Create electrical plant layout drawings and single-line drawings for tendering purposes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Automation teams to resolve technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Contribute to ongoing product improvement initiatives.

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• A degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in control panel and/or power distribution design.
• Demonstrated ability to work according to established standards.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks Electrical or similar electrical design software.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (desirable but not essential).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel if necessary.
