ProSource a re recruiting a Contracts Manager on behalf of their client who are an award winning Tier 1 Main Building Contractor in Cork.
As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a key role in managing all contractual and commercial aspects of the projects, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Your main duties will include, but not be limited to; - Manage and oversee the delivery of multiple construction contracts, ensuring they meet company standards, client specifications, and statutory regulations.
- Negotiate, draft, and manage contract terms and conditions, ensuring full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, ensuring projects are adequately staffed and equipped.
- Monitor project costs, prepare budgets, and manage financial aspects of contracts to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed budgets.
- Ensure all projects are executed in line with health and safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a strong focus on safety across all sites.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, site managers, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and building strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and manage risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues that may impact project delivery.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress, financial status, and any issues arising.
- Oversee the procurement, management, and performance of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following; - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a contracts management role within the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., RIAI, NEC, FIDIC), building regulations, and health & safety standards in Ireland.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish construction law, contract law, and building regulations.
