Civil/Structural Engineer

ProSource are seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer in Galway. This role offers an exciting mix of projects, including large-scale multi-unit residential, commercial, and industrial developments. Responsibilities As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will:

• Lead the design, production, and technical management of structural and civil engineering projects for private-sector clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Revise and update technical drawings in response to project feedback and changes.
• Coordinate information across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Review and verify designs prepared by other engineers and consultants.
• Participate in design review meetings and client discussions.
• Develop designs for foul sewer systems, wastewater treatment systems, and stormwater drainage systems.
• Conduct construction stage inspections and oversee compliance using the BCMS system.

Requirements 

• Education: Honours degree in Civil, Structural, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Professional Development: Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland or actively progressing toward Chartered status.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in an engineering consultancy design office.

Technical Expertise:

• Thorough understanding of Building Control Legislation, Building Regulations, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Tekla Tedds and Structural Designer is advantageous.

Skills:

• Strong report writing and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.

Other Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and access to personal transport.
• Must be currently residing in Ireland, eligible to work, and ready to take up a full-time position in the coming weeks.
