Civil Engineer

Our client, a respected civil engineering and construction contractor, is seeking Site Engineers to join their team on projects located in Donegal. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with 2-3 years’ experience or those early in their careers, offering excellent support and pathways for professional development within a dynamic and ambitious organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out accurate setting out, surveying, and levelling to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, ensuring on-site work aligns with the design requirements.
• Assist in monitoring site activities and maintaining detailed project records, including quality control documentation.
• Collaborate closely with site managers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Promote and ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all site operations.
• Provide support to senior engineers in addressing technical challenges and planning project activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of progress reports and risk assessments as required.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 0-3 years’ experience in a site engineering role, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency in setting out and surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station) and relevant software, such as AutoCAD.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and construction regulations.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Package Includes:

• Competitive salary of €42,000 - €48,000 per annum.
