Civil Engineer

Overview:
Our client, a well-regarded civil engineering and construction contractor, is seeking enthusiastic Site Engineers to join their team on projects based in Sligo. This role is ideal for individuals with 2-3 years’ experience or recent graduates with some experience, offering excellent opportunities for growth and career progression within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform setting out, surveying, and levelling tasks to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation on-site.
• Assist in tracking project progress and maintaining accurate site documentation, including daily records and quality control checks.
• Work closely with site managers, subcontractors, and project teams to coordinate activities and deliver project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
• Support senior engineers with technical problem-solving and project planning.
• Contribute to the preparation of project reports, including progress updates and risk assessments.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0-3 years’ experience in a site engineering role, preferably within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in setting out and surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station) and relevant software, such as AutoCAD.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and site practices.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Package Includes:

• Competitive salary of €42,000 - €48,000 per annum.
