My client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our architectural firm based in Dublin City.

The successful candidate will manage the firm’s financial records, oversee administrative operations, and contribute to the smooth running of the office. This is a unique opportunity to work in a creative environment with a dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Process payroll, ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of expenses, invoices, and other financial documents.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and other statutory financial reports.
  • Oversee general office operations, including maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Act as the main point of contact for vendors, service providers, and building management.
  • Manage office budgets and track expenses.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, meetings, and internal communications.
  • Ensure the office complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide administrative assistance to senior staff, including document preparation and correspondence.
  • Organise and maintain filing systems, both digital and physical.
  • Assist with project-related administrative tasks, such as tracking project expenses and preparing reports.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 12 months experience in a similar role in Ireland.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Irish payroll and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or office management.
  • Experience in the architectural or construction industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and systems.
