Assistant Resident Engineer

ProSource are seeking an assistant Resident Engineer for an on-site role on behalf of their client, who are a global industry-leading Civil and Structural consultancy, based in Galway.

*€45,000 - €50,000*

Requirements

• Third level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 3 years postgraduate experience in an Irish engineering consultancy.
• Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland or close to applying for chartership.
• A sound understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focus, ability to apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve technical problems.
• Bridges experience preferred but experience in a structures background (Masonry) and a mixture of design & site experience is also desirable.
• Experience in structural inspections advantageous
• Fluent English essential
• Full clean Irish drivers licence

Responsibilities

• Assisting the resident engineer with day to day site activities
• Carrying out work in accordance with company ISO procedures and Eurocodes standards.
• Working on a number of various projects ranging in size and value from beginning to completion.
• Site Visits
• Managing Project Budgets
• Inspection of bridge maintenance and rehabilitation works
