My client is a Big4 Practice and they are seeking an Accounts & Compliance Manager to join the team in Dublin City Centre.
You don't have to come from a Big4 practice to apply, but you do need to have very strong Accounts/Compliance experience - which will mean that you have at least 2 years PQE under your belt - working in Irish Practice.
Working with a portfolio of client across a number of different sectors you will enjoy working in an environment that is both collaborative and flat. Communication skills need to be excellent and well honed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a cross-functional team to manage the accounting functions of a diverse client portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services.#
- Developing and strengthening client relationships through proactive engagement, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Overseeing and reviewing trial balances and subledgers for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations.
- Supervising and supporting the processing of transactional client information, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Driving efficiency in the utilisation of accounting software (including MS Navision, CaseWare, and Sage) and MS Excel to maintain accurate client records.
- Ensuring data integrity by implementing and monitoring automated/manual data input processes from client systems to the accounting platform, providing oversight and ensuring appropriate documentation.
- Reviewing and delivering monthly and quarterly management reports, providing insights and strategic recommendations to clients.
- Managing the preparation of statutory accounts for clients, ensuring compliance with IFRS, FRS 101, FRS 102, FRS 102 1A, and FRS 105 reporting standards.
- Overseeing and coordinating audit processes for clients, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring all audit requirements are met efficiently.
- Other adhoc duties as required.
Your Skills and Experiences: - Ability to work independently and as part of fast paced dynamic team, adhering to tight deadlines.
- Must be self-starter, have the ability to multitask and have excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to assign tasks and follow up on the requirements, working well with others is imperative.
- Have a proficiency in IT solutions such as Microsoft Word, Excel, experience with accounting packages in use an advantage but not necessary.
- Qualified accountant.
- Excellent communication skills.
- At least 2 years PQE experience in a practice setting, with strong Statutory Reporting skills.
